Direct Vent Tankless Water Heater

Unlimited
Hot Water For Large Families or
Businesses For Use When Indoor
Combustible Air is Not Available.
The latest addition to the Takagi
tankless water heating family uses a
"Direct Vent System". With a
three-inch round combustible air intake
vent and four-inch round exhaust power
vent, Flash T-KD20 is designed to work
when indoor combustion air is not
available - making it the perfect system
for air tight homes in colder
climates.The TK2 water heater is a
tankless water heater that delivers up to
6.9 gallons of hot water continuously.
The computer modulated burners use only
the gas required to heat the water
required - without wasting any gas. The
TKD20 has an electric ignition and uses
no energy when not producing hot water.
The TKD20 water heater is capable of
handling water flows ranging from 0.75 to
6.9 gallons per minute, with heating
capability of 19,000 to 185,000 btu, the
Takagi Flash TKD20 water heater has the
widest range on the market, all
controlled by a computer board and
sensors checking for flow, temperature
and demand. The Direct Vent TK2D0 uses
stainless steel 4-inch vent for the
exhaust and a 3-inch vent for the intake
air.
Flash
TKD20 is far more fuel-efficient that
traditional systems, with considerably
lower carbon monoxide and NOX (nitrous
oxides) emissions. It is quieter, safer
and more effective than any other
tankless water heater on the market.
Water
heaters should do a lot more than take up
space, run up utility bills and run cold
every time out-of-town guests increase
the household's demand for hot water.
That's why Takagi, long known as a leader
in tankless water heater technology, has
unveiled a new generation of tankless
water heaters with the Flash T-KD20.
Designed for high-efficiency residential
use, the T-KD20 is an incredibly small
system - measuring 2.2 cubic feet and 60
pounds - that provides enormous benefits.
Unlike traditional water heaters that
operate continuously to keep the water in
the tank at a constant temperature,
Takagi's T-KD20 delivers more than 250
gallons of hot water per hour on demand,
yielding an endless supply of hot water,
as well as reduced energy consumption.
Additionally, the T-KD20's direct-vent
system to the outside makes it ideal for
climate-controlled environments.
Consumers aren't the the only ones who
should take note of Takagi's many
advantages. Homebuilders can reap major
compliance rewards, while helping their
buyers reduce water heating costs by
anywhere from 25 to 60 percent, depending
upon individual usage.
According to John Eash, an architect and
energy specialist with the California
Energy Commission's Residential Buildings
& Appliances Office, " If
builders find out about the tremendous
compliance credit given for the Takagi,
they won't be able to make these tankless
water heaters fast enough."
The
temperature dip switch outputs are 105,
120 or 180 degrees. If you need a
different temperature, you will need the
remote (TK-RE01).

For customers with hard
water, CET recommends the mineral
manager. This
conditioner will prevent damaging
lime-scale from building up and clogging
your tankless water heater.

source is disconnected. The unit has been
rated for temperatures down to 5 degrees
F (-15C) in a wind free environment. The
wind chill factor will cause the unit to
freeze at temperatures even 5F (-15c) in
ambient temperature, even if the unit is
installed indoors. Check with the
installation manual for details.
