12 Volt DC Ceiling
Fans - With and With Out Remote These
ceiling fans are designed for 12 VDC operation.
The motor is hermetically sealed which means the
unit can be installed outdoors with no adverse
implications. All units are surface mounted with
a 6” clearance from the blades to the ceiling.
All ceiling fans generate a small amount of
noise (from the motor and air movement);
installations above beds need to be tolerant of
this issue. A permanent magnet DC motor with
ball bearings to ensure a long trouble free
life. The motor draws only 1.2 amperes of power
at 350 RPM; full power. The fan can be reversed
and has three speed positions. These fans can
operate by remote or you can choose a wall
switch for operating the fan without the remote
option.
The 12 volt ceiling fan is
available in 42” diameters, remote or no remote.
The blades are available in white, oak, silver
and black. The housing is available in white,
brass, satin nickel and antique copper.
This fan
is designed for surface mounting on a flat
ceiling and hangs down 5 inches from the
ceiling. They are available for 12 volt DC
operation. CSA / UL approved |

Each fan is
shipped with a balanced set of fan blades.
However, on occasion a unit may wobble slightly.
Before contacting the factory try to switch
blades from one location to another as this may
counterbalance the blades and eliminate the
wobble.
Electrical problems are rare but
always make sure you are hooking the motor to a
12 VDC source. A 120-vac source will burn out
the motor.
Installation is simple and
straightforward. The motor is wired to the
supply first. The motor has three feet that
attach to the mounting surface using washers and
lag bolts. Once the motor is mounted the
decorative shroud is placed over the motor and
secured with three screws. The fan blades are
attached to the blade turret, which in turn is
assembled to the motor shaft. (For RV's -
Neoprene sound isolation washers as well as a
plain metal washer is required for proper motor
isolation from the RV chassis. Ceiling fans in
RV’s can sometimes seem noisy even while they
are not, due to the hardness of various ceilings
and walls. Follow the mounting instructions and
avoid attachment to metallic parts or
structures.)
A switch leg has already been
run to the motor location or the unit uses the
infrared remote control.
